This day, more like any other day we take a moment to reflect on its goodness. And what makes this day so good that a man, not like any earthly man, had to be beaten, bruised, defiled, degraded, denied 3x's and then crucified for our iniquities and our transgressions. The greatest debt was paid on this day, and it was purchase with his blood. It was thee ultimate sacrifice when God sent His only begotten Son to be slain for our sins.
And we seat comfortably, we sleep peacefully, we walk gracefully, we breath freely at no cost to us. We are not worthy of all the goodness given to us daily. "Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in heavenly realms with every spiritual blessings in Christ… For He chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight" (Ephesians 1:3-4). How loving is our God that despite ourselves, He already saw us and in us, way before we were born, that He made provision (in other words arrangement) to ensure our key to eternity. If not for Jesus, if not for His blood, if not for His death, if not for His resurrection, if not for His life we would not be here today absorbing in His grace and His mercy.
So on this day, a good day, a Good Friday, reflect on all the goodness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who was and still is the greatest believer, the greatest healer, the greatest provider, the greatest deliverer, the greatest teacher, the greatest preacher, the greatest father, the greatest carpenter, the greatest man, the greatest friend. Yet, He became the greatest hero and humanitarian when He paid the greatest price by laying down His life just to save our souls. And we can go on and on about His greatness, but it is sufficient enough to say "He's been Good."I bid peace & blessings to all on this day!
